Important milestones of Electronics

Q: Who Discoverd Electrons?
 Ans: Sir J. J Thomson

Sir Joseph John Thomson was awarded the 1906 Nobel Prize in Physics for the discovery of the electron and for his work on the conduction of electricity in gases.


Q: Who Invented Transistor?
Ans: John Bardeen, William Shockley and Walter Brattain at Bell Labs, 1948

In acknowledgement of this accomplishment, Shockley, Bardeen, and Brattain were jointly awarded the 1956 Nobel Prize in Physics "for their researches on semiconductors and their discovery of the transistor effect."



Q: Who invented Integrated Circuits?
Ans: Jack Kilby and Robert Noycen seperately. (1957)
